Children This site is not directed to children under the age of Ok, probably gonna get some flac for this, but why is it that a majority of people have a beef with Eruptor?

Honestly, he's one of my best characters to come in and take action after a character needs relief. And why is it that those who use him always take him down the Volcanor path well, the majority of posts I've read about him? It's probably my play style, but I'm glad I chose the Magmantor path. Some have compared it to Boomer with negative reviews, though I appreciate how instead of having to plant yourself in the middle of everything, you can just lob random lava blobs at opponents, with the added affects of bouncing, exploding, and splash damage.

I guess it has something to do with the emphasis of PvP, which I am just now getting into. Eruptor is good, no question.

IMO, the reason Volcanor is superior to Magmantor is because it cuts off the charge time on his eruption attack and adds all kinds of AoE and continuous damage. It's also his best choice for damage overall. It may seem like purely a PvP bias, but if you don't take Eruptor down the Volcanor path, he has a real probem at close range.

The lava eruption charge time makes the move problematic, and the damage dealt just isn't great. His lava blobs are not reliable enough to hit at close range consistently. It's a big weakness of his character. Compare that to Boomer. Eruptor an Boomer both have lobbing primary attacks. On the Demolition Troll path, the Dynamite damage increases and splashes to three sides with another detonation.

Magmantor Eruptor leaves damage trails and has increased damage, but it is inferior to Demolition Troll Boomer's dynamite. Eruptor and Boomer also have self AoE attacks. Eruptor's starts with a nasty charge time. Volcanor Eruptor has this problem solved. The move becomes much more powerful and can be performed instantly on Wii anyway Oddly enough, Boomer's self AoE attack does the opposite.

Wow Pow - Lava Barf Charge up a powerful stream of projectile lava barf. After getting the first upgrades, you will be given a choice between two more upgrade paths. Lava Blob Bomb Lava Blobs explode and damage nearby enemies. Beasts of Conflagration Lava Blobs do increased damage in the form of a fiery beast. Path 2 Quick Eruption It takes much less time to perform an Eruption attack. Pyroxysmal Super Eruption Eruption attack does increased damage. Revenge of Prometheus Eruption causes small volcanoes to form, doing extra damage.
