How do sharpie gel highlighters work

Did I mention that the highlighters smell like gummi bears?!?!? That said, theses highlighters really do what they claim which is that they do not smear when applied over ink. Not fountain pen your results might vary here as I did not test every fountain pen ink available , not felt top or gel pens.

Not even pencil. I really like that Sharpie has attempted to rethink the highlighter, especially in light of how often gel pens are used these days and how easily some inks are to smear with traditional highlighters. Not that I can tell, no. I use several brands of gel highlighter, but Sharpie is pretty good. Gels are great on onion skin paper and wet inks. Wow, very intriguing. I dislike how my highlighters like to dry out, and maybe these gel ones would be less prone to doing so.

That said, a gel highlighter is more transparent than a dry, and kinder to thin paper than a wet. It also looks like they are available on Amazon. Also when you turn the page or close the book, it smudges onto the other side of the page.

It leaves a waxy feel on everything, the table, the paper, and my hands. Because of the way the gel stick wears down as you use it, the lines of this highlighter tend to be erratic and unpredictable, ranging from wide to relatively narrow. But I'm happy with that. I like the surprise of never knowing exactly what's going to happen every time I put the Sharpie Gel to paper.

It makes me feel like I'm living on the edge and yes, my life really is that uneventful. So in the end, the moral of this story is that, sadly, even Sharpie Gel Highlighters can't be perfect. Please do not actually try to use the highlighter with the gel stick out this far. It would probably end badly. If you look very closely, you may see a tiny bit of smearing of the Papermate Gel, but that was because I was being impatient and the ink wasn't quite dry yet. I warned you. If I had a macro lens for my camera, I could give you a really good look at these crumbs.

Unfortunately, I do not have a macro lens. The Feela Bible Gel Highlighter study kit is great for thin papers that you may typically find in thicker books like anthologies.

They secure to any paper surface and will not bleed through even the thinnest page. The twist-up design prevents the gel from breaking, since you can retreat it back into the barrel with ease. The pen handles well with a smooth barrel design that makes it easy to grip and carry around. You do not have to pigeonhole yourself with traditional inked highlighters.

Gel highlighters are just as good, or for some who have more specific needs or preferences, work even better than inked ones. Best black and white printers. Ink vs.
