While I cannot testify as to how the boots are currently made, I have been very pleased with them. They were my first of many purchases from Zappos. For me, they ran large. I typically wear an 8 and my boots fit just right in a 7. I have athletic calves and have no problem wearing these over jeans. They have held up extremely well. I do shampoo after every winter and then waterproof them before I wear them the next year.

The soles are still toothy and have good tread. Part of the stitching is coming undone, but I will likely take them to a cobbler to be repaired instead of replacing.
